Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Sports Coach to deliver engaging, safe, and inclusive sports sessions for children during term time. The successful candidate will inspire young people through sport, help develop skills and confidence, and create a positive learning environment where every child can participate and enjoy being active.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality sports coaching sessions to children of varying ages and abilities

• Plan and organise fun, engaging, and structured activities

• Support children’s physical, social, and emotional development through sport

• Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and teamwork

• Manage behaviour appropriately and maintain a safe coaching environment

• Set up and pack away equipment before and after sessions

• Communicate professionally with schools, parents, and colleagues

• Always follow and adhere to the company’s safeguarding policy

• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed during sessions

• Always act as a positive role model for children

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working with children in a coaching, teaching, or activity setting

• Passion for sport and child development

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to lead groups confidently and positively

• Organised, punctual, and dependable

• Experience delivering multiple sports is desirable

 

Qualifications Requirements

• Coaching qualification in sport or physical activity (desirable)

• First Aid qualification (desirable)

• Enhanced DBS check required

• Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete training)
