About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and dependable Holiday Camp Assistant to support the delivery of fun, safe, and engaging holiday camp sessions for children. The role involves assisting Camp Leaders with daily activities, supervising children, and helping to create a positive and inclusive environment where every child can enjoy their camp experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking to gain experience in sports coaching, childcare, teaching, or activity leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Support Camp Leaders in delivering sports, games, and multi-activity sessions.
• Help supervise groups of children throughout the day.
• Encourage children to participate and enjoy camp activities.
• Assist with setting up and packing away equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment.
• Follow and adhere to the company’s safeguarding policy at all times.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child welfare at all times.
• Follow health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
• Support positive behaviour management and inclusion for all children.
• Assist with registration, lunch supervision, and daily camp routines.
• Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and carers when required.
Skills & Experience
• Enjoys working with children and young people.
• Positive, energetic, and approachable attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and support group activities effectively.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
• Strong background in working with children in a school, sports, childcare, or camp setting.
• First Aid qualification.
• Safeguarding training.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
